Generation Leather Backpack

To create a leather that’s lighter, more waterproof and more sustainable, we worked with a tannery in the Netherlands to reinvent the way leather is tanned and used. We started with a calfskin leather from northern Europe – the best hides we can find and a farming byproduct.

We use a tanning technology that uses only the water in the hide, minimising waste water and chemical use. The result is a buttery smooth leather that feels like no other. Light yet tough, it acquires a beautiful patina over time.

We add waterproofing during the tanning process, so it permeates the entire hide of leather. This means the leather stays waterproof, unlike leathers with a waterproof coating that wears off over time. And when you touch the leather, you always feel the leather.

Thoughtfully engineered pockets ensure everything is easy to reach. Like the zipped and padded section that protects your 16-inch laptop or tablet. Stretchable pockets for smaller items and mesh compartments for tech accessories. Plus a bottle holder and zipped valuables pocket with a key leash.

For the perfect fit, the shoulder straps are sculpted to contour around your body and distribute weight evenly, so you feel liberated from gravity. The cushioned back panel, built in 3D breathable mesh, promotes air circulation to keep you cool and dry from dawn until dusk.
